Hortt Park

Hortt Park is located in the center of Shady Banks. This 3-acre park contains shaded open spaces, ball fields and a great, newly-renovated playground. Adjacent to the park is the Hortt School Facility. The Hortt facility was originally an elementary school, but in recent years has served as a school administration campus. In the near future, the Broward County School Department plans to vacate this facility and move the staff to another campus. A plan is in the works to to sell the facility to Broward County, tear down most of the buildings, and make the property an addition to Hortt Park. The deal is not complete yet, but in the near future, we hope to see a bigger and better Hortt Park.
